A-day +7 Cache Creek to Vanderhoof, BC

It was Doug and Sue's turn to blaze the trail today, and a fine job they did. Without getting lost, we went directly to 100 Mile House. This is the name of a real city. They have a golf course and everything. They have a slogan..."We are open for business!" It really is a very nice place. It claims to be the center of cross country skiing in Western Canada.

And in support of that claim, they actually have the World's Largest Cross Country Skis. Here we are getting ready to hit the trail, as soon as our vehicle with the World's Largest Ski Rack arrives.

Later we stopped in Williams Lake for a cup of hot chocolate beside the lake. I am reading Stephen Ambrose's book Undaunted Courage about the Lewis and Clark expidition. I am including the picture below because when Sue and Sweety get together, it looks like Lewis and Clark planning their next day's exploits.

The road today was fairly routine, looking similar to hilly areas in southern Colorado. No big mountains, lots of trees and rocky soil. Very dry looking.

So instead of landscapes, I want you to see one of the nicest RV parks I have ever visited. It is Dave's RV Park just outside of Vanderhoof, BC. It is sooo clean. Dave and his wife have built this place from nothing. And the wireless internet is working very well.

If you are ever in the area, stop by stay a night or two. These are the best people on earth. Going to eat at a German restaurant tonight. Yummy! Posted by Picasa
